Annette Winkler is an artist, Queen fan, former nurse and keen supporter of the MPT. She has very generously combined all of these aspects of her life to offer up these fantastic paintings of Freddie.

“Data provided by UNAIDS shows that in 2018, there were 37.9 million people living with HIV among them are 1.7 million children under the age of 15 years old. About 8.1 million people didn’t know that they were living with HIV.”

“As a former intensive care nurse in Berlin, Germany I witnessed for myself the suffering and the struggles of the AIDS patients. By losing my nursing teacher to this terrible HIV virus it becomes a personal call to care.”
“Because of the incredible work of scientists, doctors and nurses the AIDS related deaths have been reduced by more than 55% since 2004. In 2018, around 770 000 people died from AIDS related illnesses worldwide, compared to 1.7 million in 2004. The most important goal is to develop an HIV vaccine even better a cure.”
